Our platform exists to serve community needs and mutual aid efforts.

Safety & Respect

All interactions must be respectful, safe, and supportive.

No Exploitation

Zero tolerance for exploitation, fraud, or abuse of community resources.

Platform Purpose

REON Collective is a mutual aid platform designed to connect community members, coordinate support efforts, and build resilient networks of care. Our platform facilitates:

  • • Mutual aid coordination and resource sharing
  • • Community organizing and event coordination
  • • Safe communication channels for vulnerable populations
  • • Resource mapping and support group organization
  • • Educational content and skill sharing

Community Guidelines

Respect and Dignity

Treat all community members with respect, regardless of background, identity, or circumstances. Harassment, discrimination, or hate speech will result in immediate removal.

Mutual Aid Ethics

Mutual aid is based on solidarity, not charity. Approach all interactions with humility, recognizing that we all have something to offer and something to learn.

Privacy and Safety

Respect others' privacy and safety needs. Do not share personal information without permission, and be mindful of operational security concerns.

Prohibited Activities

  • • Harassment, threats, or intimidation of any kind
  • • Discrimination based on identity, background, or circumstances
  • • Exploitation of community resources or vulnerable individuals
  • • Commercial activity or profit-seeking through the platform
  • • Sharing false information or engaging in disinformation campaigns
  • • Attempting to compromise platform security or other users' privacy
  • • Creating fake accounts or impersonating others
  • • Spamming or disrupting community discussions

Account Responsibilities

Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. Use strong passwords and enable two-factor authentication when available.

Accurate Information

Provide accurate information in your profile and mutual aid requests. False information can harm community trust and resource allocation.

Content Responsibility

You are responsible for the content you post. Ensure all content aligns with community guidelines and applicable laws.

Platform Governance

Community Moderation

REON uses a community-driven moderation model with elected moderators and transparent processes. Appeals processes are available for all moderation decisions.

Platform Changes

Significant platform changes will be discussed with the community before implementation. We believe in participatory governance and user agency.

Enforcement and Appeals

Graduated Response

We use a graduated response system: warnings, temporary restrictions, and permanent removal as a last resort. Context and intent matter.

Appeals Process

All moderation decisions can be appealed through our community appeals board. Appeals are reviewed by community members, not just platform administrators.
